Leaves are astringent, stimulant, digestive, tonic, alterative, parturient, hemostatic, antiemetic, cathartic, and antiseptic.

Adults For use as an astringent for diarrhea: Take 6 capsules two or three times daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Adult women For use as a uterine tonic: Take 6 capsules three times daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner.

Contains no: Gluten, soy, wheat, corn, eggs, dairy, yeast, citrus, preservatives, artificial flavour or colour, starch, or sugar.

Cautions and warnings: Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding; if you are constipated, anaemic, or malnourished; or if you have hormone-sensitive conditions, such as breast, uterine or ovarian cancer, endometriosis, or uterine fibroids. Consult a health-care practitioner if symptoms worsen. Inform your pre- or postnatal health-care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Do not use if you have a history of precipitate labour.

Contraindications: Do not take if you are in the first two trimesters of pregnancy (up to week 32).

Known adverse reactions: May stimulate uterine contractions.
